Candidates who were unable to sit for their HSC exams due to hostile weather or unavoidable circumstances will receive a special opportunity. They may sit for the missed papers on the same dates with identical question papers as the Chittagong Board.
Education Minister Ehsanul Haque Milan made the announcement on Wednesday. His statement followed the Rule 300 of the National Parliament.
The Education Minister stated that a total of 1,270,583 candidates are participating in the ongoing HSC and equivalent exams across 2,697 centers nationwide. Recently, exams under the Chittagong Education Board were suspended in five districts due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather.

These districts are Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Khagrachhari, Rangamati, and Bandarban. Apart from the Chittagong Board, some candidates in other districts also missed scheduled exams due to bad weather and various other reasons.
He said that the exams will be held at the same time and date to be fixed by the Ministry of Education. The minister added that this special opportunity is being granted as the HSC exam is a crucial step in a student's life.
Referring to the errors in the question paper, the Education Minister said that those responsible for formulating the faulty Physics First Paper question have already been suspended. He also assured that examinees will be awarded full marks for the errors in questions 6 and 7 of the Physics First Paper.
