Police say a case has been filed over the crash near Wireless Gate

Another injured in Sunday’s pile-up at the foot of Moghbazar flyover in Wireless Gate intersection died of injuries today.

The victim Riyad Hossain, 21, of Narail, was a college student, said police and relatives.

He had come to Dhaka for Ansar-VDP admission related queries with his uncle, Zaman Ahmed, 42, who also died in the crash yesterday.

They were on the way to Sayedabad to catch a bus to Narail, said Babul Hossain, a relative.

Riyad died under treatment early today at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Earlier, Zaman, passed away at the DMCH after being brought to the hospital.

Three others were injured in the accident last night after a covered van lost control and hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and two motorcycles in Dhaka’s Moghbazar Wireless Gate.

Ramna Police Station Sub-inspector Joy Pantho confirmed the death and said a case has been filed today over the accident.
